Come one, come all | Rte 51 Brewing Company and Banquet Facility

Lindsay + Tim Stockhecke

As honey-hued wheat dances alongside the road, and a train whistle can be heard in the distance you can almost mistake Rte 51 Brewing Company and Banquet Facility for an industrial facility, which makes sense as this brewery is housed within what was previously Purcell’s Flooring building.

Opening in 2016 and located just ten miles off of Murphysboro Mainstreet they have built something that any and everyone can and should come and enjoy.

Here are our top reasons to check out this welcoming brewery…

All ages welcome

Finding activities to appeal to all ages can be tricky but they have created a place where there is something for everyone. With a variety of seating options, including both high and low-top tables, handicap-accessible upstairs seating, and outdoor games we saw guests ranging from 0-100 enjoying themselves in a warm and welcoming environment.

Free and phenomenal music

Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night they offer live music with the specific acts posted on their Facebook page several weeks in advance. With no cover charge, great acoustics, quality acts, and a variety of musical genres this is a great place to enjoy a meal and tunes. With an elevated stage and a dance area in front you often see kiddos and adults alike dancing along to the music.

Multi-use facility

Connected to the brewery is a large banquet facility available for rent. With a capacity of 299 this is a great option for large weddings and events. Tables and chairs and a fully stocked bar are included as well as in-house catering. They also have an upstairs space within the brewery available for rent which is a great option for those looking to enjoy the live music while hosting a private party.

Memorable food

With menu items like smoked brisket tacos and Nashville hot chicken, their elevated bar food does not disappoint. With casual walk-up ordering and friendly staff, they have created a fun and easy dining experience.

All-weather enjoyment

Their large outdoor patio and beer garden is perfect to enjoy, rain or shine. They also have bags and ping pong for guests to enjoy during a break from music or before or after their meal. This was the perfect after-eating fun with the kids, who particularly enjoyed it when the band and brewery owner came out during a break.

In-House Brews

Having brewed over 51 beers in their six years of operation, they currently offer 20 beers brewed in-house available for enjoyment. While a great spot for every craft beer connoisseur in your life they also make their own Rootbeer and Cream soda for the non-drinkers in your life.

Whether looking for a fun date night, family outing or event space Rte 51 Brewing and Banquet Facility is a true gem in Jackson County, Illinois.
