Evitts is a virtual one-man band. He plays keyboards, drums, bass guitar, harmonica and lead guitar. He electronically loops the instruments together to make it sound like more than one person is playing.

The hook with Evitts is that he takes requests, and if he doesn’t know the song, he will learn it for the next week, with a maximum of five new tunes added to his repertoire each week.

“That’s my gimmick, and it seems to be working,” said the 30-year old Evitts. “It’s starting to win people over. The crowds are getting bigger each week. People are coming back to see it I learned their song or not. The material is all over the musical spectrum, from Hank Williams to Jim Croce.”
