The Southern Illinois Symphony Series at Shryock Auditorium opens on Sunday, October 28 with a matinee performance of great music by Bach, Haydn, Mozart and more, with distinguished soloists from the breadth of Illinois. Selections include:

Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 2; Haydn: Symphony No. 82 (“Bear”)

Wienawski: Legende; Benyas: Tone Poem; Mozart: Symphony No. 40

Soloists are: John Dee, Oboe; James Thompson, Flute; Jered Montgomery, Trumpet; and Michael Barta and Sophia Han, Violins. Edward Benyas conducts.
