It’s both easy and hard to miss Carl Lee Park Pavilion and Bandshell as you drive down Murphysboro Mainstreet. The hustle and bustle of a busy downtown street can make the featured sculpture, completed in 2010, go overlooked but, once seated in the cut grass listening to the acoustics provided during one of the Sunset Concert Series you’d be hard-pressed to leave without a lasting memory.
Hosted every Thursday in August and the first Thursday of September, the Sunset Concert Series features local musicians, food trucks, and time with your neighbors. Running 6:30-8:30pm, guests are encouraged to bring chairs and/or picnic blankets and are welcome to bring their own food and beverages to enjoy (no glass allowed).
